February 2023 Book Review
February Book Review! I read 4 books this month!
The Guest List by: Lucy Foley
A book about a wedding set on an island off the coast in Ireland. In the middle of a wedding weekend where old friends are reunited and family is together someone turns up dead. We spend the book trying to figure out who did it based on their past! A good mystery!
Before I Do by: Sophie Cousens
A heartwarming novel about the ones we love and the ones we didn’t. Audrey is about to get married but is reconnected with the one that got away by chance. She then is faced with the struggle with her decision and knowing it was the correct one. She feels there are many signs throughout the weekend that lead her to her decision. Cute, chick lite read!
Just the Nicest Couple by: Mary Kubica
A mystery book about a couple who are loyal to a fault. I found myself loving the couple and not wanting to know if they did something bad so I would quickly fast forward through the things I didn’t want to hear. I enjoyed the book but felt like it dragged on a little longer than I would like, even though I know it was setting up a plot and helping build the characters and case. It was a good story, just a little long for my liking.
Maggie Moves On by: Lucy Score
After reading another mystery, I needed something lite to read. Maggie Moves On was just the perfect fit. Chick lite, beach read is what I would call this book. This is the first Lucy Score book I read and I can’t wait to read more! A book about romance with a love for family. Some parts of the book dragged but I still loved the overall story. The ending was a satisfying ending with a good solution for everyone. Overall a good, “feel good” book.
